Hi, I’m Cande 👋

I’m a Self Taught Visual Artist from Argentina, now based in Durham, NC.
I’m a multidiciplinary artist at heart with an expertise in Digital Art, Character Design, Watercolors, Make up and Tattoos.

As Long as I can remember I’ve had a pencil in my hand reimagining my favorite characters or creating my own.
I discovered Nordic folk legends as a teenager and my notebooks started to be flooded with scary mermaids, fairies, and all kind of magical creatures next to badass epic warrior women. We can even add my love of pop culture (whether it be movies, videogames, comics or books) to this fantasy craziness and we have my main influences and inspiration.

Those influences took me to the acclaimed Teatro Colon Institute of Advanced Studies in Art, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as soon as I finished high school, where I graduated as a Theatrical Character Artist. 

In all i’ve Worked as a Make up Designer and Artist in high fashion and the film industry, I’ve had my own Tattoo studios, Illustrated books and tarot decks, painted walls, and gave talks, workshops and seminars.

For me, the medium doesn’t matter, whether it’s a canvas, paper, skin or a screen. It’s about building bridges from the imaginative realm to reality.

I’m currently working as a freelance 2D Concept Artist and Illustrator, open to new opportunities and challenges.
